April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July. She began lessons on piano and guitar at seven years old. The passion for writing songs was ignited. At the age of 12 She composed her debut single called Different. The singer spent much of her the time of 14 composing songs and experimenting with music. The songwriting began along with her dad at home in NY and LA within a short time. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing in the area of bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs Take my Hand. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing following as a lifestyle influencer and works for popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. The disability she has is part of her identity, but it's not the entire image. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny her handicap. But it also doesn't make it a point to emphasize it. What message is it sending? that we are all a part of a multitude of identities and we're greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart said via video that she doesn't wish to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't wish to become a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are many aspects of Lockhart. My day-today life is not affected by it. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover myself solutions for problems. It's an integral aspect of my existence, so it is important that we talk about the subject. Lockhart has been a great source of inspiration for her female friends with regards to self-acceptance. However, she admits to going through phases of insecurity with her body and feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which exposed her arms. She can wear whatever she likes, and proudly shares photos of her in these outfits. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not a goal. This is, however, typical for people that is prone to doubts. It's essential to have those in your life who know and appreciate your situation. They'll be the ones asking what you fret about?
