Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
When I had a baby at my side and other children within the cradle worked 12 hours a day sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! It was all falling in place, yet we were nowhere near done. To furnish the home it would be an enormous undertaking with regards to time and money. It was also going to be a challenge to go out and shop for my most-loved items. To keep my budget intact, I went with three of my boys to look for deals at estate sales. Our weekly routine was to spend Thursday-Saturday walking through garage and estate sales buying a mixture of old and new pieces and then I would spend on weekdays painting and sanding the driveway. The furniture was like this... which is where I found my love for restoration. When our house was completed, I was unable to give up! I had a space on the local market, and sold pieces there. In the end, I accumulated more items that I had no idea what to do with and outgrew the area. Open houses were held in my home where one 000 people could visit on a single weekend. the visitors were able to purchase items on the first level. It was here that my business Growing Days was born. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing our sweet family as well. As a young mom, I found the right equilibrium to start my own business and also being a decent mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. Though I was content with the direction that my business took, I felt like I had to take a little break. I opted to take a little time off from my vintage furniture and stay at home with the children. It was exactly what I needed at the moment. It was only after several months when the phones began to be ringing. People contacted me asking to help them with decorating their homes and interiors. Many of the people calling me were from those who visited my home at one of the furniture open houses. After a while I began to take on customers at my pace. In no time, I was managing several accounts and a home renovations company. I'm sure you would have made me laugh if I had told you that this was going to be the subject of a DIY Network tv series. In fact, I do laugh when I think about the idea.
